“This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice & be glad in it.”  Ps. 118:24.  Some translations tell us to celebrate the day as if  it were a gift.  Well, indeed it is a gift!  No one is promised tomorrow, yesterday is past, tomorrow is future but today is the present   If we keep on looking at our circumstances we will get down & depressed.  But if we keep our mind on the Lord Jesus, He will keep us in perfect peace.  Is. 26:3 amp:  “You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind  is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.”

No matter what is going on in your life today let me encourage you to keep on keeping on.   Trust in Him today; He is willing & able to carry you through.

Enjoy the gift!

“Nobody gets to look at their life backwards.  Look ahead that’s where your future lies. ” – Ann Landers

This is so true.  How many times are we told not to look back at our mistakes.  We do our best to live life to its fullest. When it’s over we can’t go back & change anything anyway.  We must move forward.  It’s the only way!

I quote St. Paul the apostle who says “but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”  Phil. 3:13b-14

That my friends is my word of encouragement & inspiration for you today.

Good Morning World!

As I’ve said before, I’m very new at this & am trying to reach out & learn new things.  It’s never good to stay at the same place you’ve been at for years.   For if you do nothing different, nothing different will happen.  So I’m adventuring out into an area I’ve never been.  It’s kind of like stepping out of the boat & I can’t swim, yikes!  So here goes!  Looking forward to hearing from other bloggers.

Well I’m really a newbie at this.  So I’m open for suggestions.  I would like to know how others got started in blogging since I’m pretty unfamiliar even with the term.  Help!
